Acai, Avocado, Almond

Boa Vida has always been about sourcing the purest açai and delivering the most authentic experience to reveal the true taste of the Amazon-born berry . Açai has been widely introduced to big cities all over the world as a ‘sweet treat’, often with sugary syrups or sweeteners mixed in the base, or blended with a higher ratio of other sweet fruits. But don’t be fooled, this isn’t exactly the real deal, in fact, açai isn’t sweet at all.

Whenever I travel to the Amazon or spend time in the north of Brazil, I’m amazed by the different ways their culture utilises açai. From salad dressings, to sauces on raw or fried fish, to eating it pure and thick with little to no additions. This is when you actually taste the exquisite and rich flavour of açai – and there’s really nothing quite like it.

This has encouraged us to develop and share the perfect savoury açai bowl, showcasing its heavenly ice cream-like texture, without adding the usual banana or sweet fruits.

I got together and created this dreamy bowl with food blogger and stylist Georgie Holt (@hyggeuk).


BASE: The 3 A’s

200g / 2 packs of Açai
1/4 large, ripe Avocado
1/3 cup of Almond Milk (we used Plenish)



Fresh Coconut

Bee Pollen

Goji Berries

Cacao Nibs

Blanched Almonds

Peanut Butter (we used Meridian – organic & no palm oil!)



  1. Add the milk first. Then the açai and avocado
  2. Blend for 5 seconds. Stop and beat the açai blocks with a wooden spoon or tamper
  3. Blend again
  4. Repeat ‘blend & beat’ process until you have a creamy texture – add a drop more liquid if necessary
  5. Scoop into a bowl & add toppings
