How to: Acai at home

Invest in a good blender.

It doesn't have to be crazy expensive, but the cheaper models do not always blend this product well. We recommend Nutri Ninja jug/bullet for mid-level blender. If money isn't an issue, go for the thermomix (for food service this is a must!).

Use a wooden spoon.

If blending açai in a jug, pause mid-blend and use a wooden spoon or tamper to beat the icy chunks. Repeat this step a couple of times.  You'll get a much creamier consistency without adding too much liquid. It takes a little work and patience, but it's worth it!

Pre-freeze bananas.

Keep a stash of sliced banana in the freezer ready for your next bowl/smoothie.

Make sure the bananas are fully ripe before freezing.

Take some time.

Don't be in a rush. Açai travelled a long way to get to you.

Allow 20 minutes to prepare and 20 minutes to sit, relax and enjoy.

This is your moment to slow down and fully nourish your body.

Share with friends.

Açai is great for any social occasion.

Swapping coffee for açai is not a bad idea!
